Green Bay Plastic Surgical Associates

History

Green Bay Plastic Surgical Associates was founded in 1963 by Dr. Harold J. Hoops Jr.

Dr. Hoops began his career in the Bellin Bldg., on the corner of Walnut and Washington Street. He had a solo practice, literally, until a patient inquired about his staff. She then became his first employee! Dr. Hoops was Green Bay’s first plastic surgeon, and dedicated himself to the people of this town. Young and old will not forget Dr. Hoops and his generous nature, as well as his jovial laugh and kind heart. Dr. Hoops passed away on April 30, 2010. He will be missed by all at GBPSA. His favorite saying was, "Of all the things that life can bring I ask but only three.....bread for my need, good books to read and a house by the bay".

Today, GBPSA employs 16 staff members and three surgeons. The office has several departments including clinical procedures, surgery scheduling, appointment scheduling, reception, billing, coding, business office, transcription and medical records.

GBPSA also owns and operates their own independent free standing ambulatory surgical center, called The Green Bay Surgical Center. It is conveniently located one floor below our clinic and is adjacent to the hospital campus. The GBSC is AAAHC accredited for all plastic surgical procedures.

The GBPSA surgeons are on staff and have surgical privileges at all four hospitals in Green Bay. There is plastic surgery coverage at these facilities 24/7.

GBPSA has continued to be an independently owned medical practice committed to individual patient choices. Our physicians and the staff are dedicated to providing patients with the highest quality of healthcare possible whether considering plastic surgery to enhance appearance or reconstructive surgery to correct defects or improve function.
