Blepharoplasty
Eyes are the windows to the soul. The framework around the eyes can lend greatly to a person’s perceived appearance. Excess skin, muscle and fatty tissue around the eyes can contribute to a tired and aged look despite feeling well-rested and refreshed. Excess upper eyelid skin may even interfere with your vision.
Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin, muscle and fat from the upper and lower eyelids. The surgery can greatly improve the drooping upper lids or puffy bags present below the eyes. It will not remove crow’s feet, eliminate dark circles under your eyes or lift sagging brows. Often, sagging eyebrows will contribute to excess upper eyelid skin and will usually need to be addressed via a brow lift to properly correct the problem. While the surgery can add an upper eyelid crease to Asian eyes, it will not erase evidence of your ethnic or racial heritage. The surgery may also be performed in conjunction with a facelift.

Your consultation with our plastic surgeons will help formulate a customized plan to help you achieve your desired goals. A frank discussion of the procedure, its goals, post-operative course, as well as risks and potential complications will be undertaken. Your new refreshed and alert appearance will likely be long-lasting. Certain conditions may be corrected permanently, but you will continue to age naturally. Life-long sun protection will help you maintain you results.
